Slack is used by thousands to connect people and help them get more done. When you pair Slack with Rise you can do even more!

From your profile, click the Add to Slack button to start pairing your Rise and Slack accounts. Log in to your Slack account if prompted, then click Allow to finish the pairing process.

You can also connect the two by first installing the Rise application from the Slack App Directory. Once installed, use the /rise login command in Slack and follow the prompts.

Note: If your account uses a custom domain you’ll need to add the address of your domain to use the command in Slack: /rise login mycustom.domain.com.

With Rise connected, when you paste a course or learning path link into Slack, click the Yes button to display a rich preview of that content. The preview includes the course name, cover image, author, publishing date, number of lessons, and duration. This works for any content visible to you or in your course library. Rich previews aren't available for accounts using custom domains.

Once you unfurl a link, the rich preview is visible to anyone in the Slack channel where you shared it, even if they don’t have access to the course.

Pro Tip: Want to use rich previews in private channels? Just invite Rise to the channel using the /invite @Rise command. For DMs, add the Rise app as a direct message participant to a fresh DM group. The Rise app can't be invited to an existing DM thread.
